Little Red Blazer

thrifted red blazer // target scarf // isaac mizrahi for target purse // jcrew cords

Just a few of the many fun photos from my day of playing tourist with the beautiful Pauline. I'm so happy that I've gotten to know her this year, along with my other new friends (hi y'all!). I seem to have a bad habit of trying to form relationships as something is coming to an end, in this case my undergrad. Is anybody else like this?

I think this is due to a shift away from a negative attitude where I treated school like this thing you just had to sit there and bear while trying to keep your wits about you. Now I'm realizing that we're never going to get these moments back. Even though I HATE the fact that my Saturdays are spent at the library, someday I'm going to look back on this season of life and chuckle (I hope haha).

My new attitude includes taking the extra effort to be inspired by those around me, to listen (this one is a challenge for me) and invest in their stories and passions. Maybe it's because it is spring, maybe it's because I'm just plain excited that school is almost over, but I've been extremely blessed lately to call some fantastic ladies and gentlemen my friends. Nothing beats bonding with like minded people who are doing amazing things with their lives in my opinion!

Well that's about as ooey and gooey as I get haha, are you feeling extra full of love this spring? extra inspired?

  8. Love that red blazer :D

And I have to agree, probably the most validating moments are when you feel like you're actually connecting with someone. You'd be surprised what comes out of people at at 2 a.m. while eating jars of nutella haha
